18+ Crowdfunding WordPress Themes for Charities, Startups, and Times of Need

From Kickstarter to GoFundMe, crowdfunding websites have turned the financing world upside down, allowing entrepreneurs and creatives a chance to accumulate funding for projects without reaching out to big time investors or banks.

How Crowdfunding Works?

Crowdfunding works by asking fans to contribute small amounts of money. Each funder is given perks for the amount of money they put in. For example, if you send in money for a video game to be made, you would generally receive the video game for a price of, say, $50. The crowdfunding sites are leading a revolution, and although some of the campaigns have run into problems, the vast majority of the successfully funded ones have seen solid followings, quality products and inventors and creatives who have followed through with their products.

Can WordPress Help You Make A Crowdfunding Website?

Now, whether you’re looking to create a crowdfunding marketplace, like Kickstarter, or you’d like to simply put together a Crowdfunding site for a single product, you can choose from a wide selection of Crowdfunding WordPress themes to launch your website. What can you expect from some of these themes? To start, most of them have the ability to set up profiles with your crowdfunding goals. You can also connect with contributors and message them when needed. In addition to that, the crowdfunding themes have the ability to collect and transfer funds, which is obviously one of the more important parts.

The Stellar WordPress theme is another theme from the Theme500 company and it’s very similar to the Fundify theme we talked about above. The main features are all pretty similar, but the design is different, allowing you to choose between the two themes for better branding. The header area has overlaying text and buttons. This way you can highlight certain popular campaigns and send users to the product pages with the click of a button. A How It Works page explains to people how they can post projects and fund others, while the responsive design makes it easy to browse campaigns on mobile devices. Every user can quickly create an account to post their own projects and organizations have the tools to send messages to people who fund their projects. The blog area has various formats, but the biggest benefit is improving your SEO and sharing updates with your visitors. You can customize the typography and the WooCommerce plugin gives you the power to collect payments and list products.

Right below the header you’ll find a row for showing where your website has been featured and if you scroll down even further you’ll see a grid-based list of the projects that are currently seeking funding on your website. Feel free to collect emails from people using the subscription form and place social media sharing and following buttons throughout the website. Each campaign page tells users how many days are left, the amount of money that’s been collected, and the types of prizes you can get after contributing to a project. This is one of our favorite crowdfunding themes for many reasons, so feel free to compare Stellar and Fundify to see which ones you like best. I never imagined there was this many crowdfunding themes available. You can utilize themes and plugins for crowdfunding. You may still however need some expertise on further making modifications and changes where needed. They can be adapted to fit your needs, but may need some further work depending on your needs.
